OTHER COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INVESTMENT:

• Water & Sewer to Southern Carolina Commerce Park. Awarded a Rural Infrastructure Grant to bring water across the road into the park and to the spec building. Funding allowed for sewer lines to come under the road but not fully installed to building. Southern Carolina Alliance, MeadWestVaco, and County were other contributors on this project.

• Completion of SC Highway 278 four-lane transportation system from Southern Carolina Commerce Park to Interstate 95.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS AWARDED:

• Hampton County Senior Center Accessibility/Energy Efficiency Improvements $299,520

• Hampton County Early Branch and Varnville Demolition $282,915

• Hampton County Brunson/Gifford Water Interconnection $1,000,000.00

• Hampton County Health Department $500,000.00

• Hampton County Furman/Yemassee Fire Trucks $500,000
